 I agree Barta is part of the problem.  The crown jewel he is responsible to be monitoring is turning into dust..
Issues that need to be addressed...
1, Offensive Line may be the worst in Iowa history.  Tackles and guards are completely out classed.2. Iowa does not have a decent QB on its roster.  Strong possibility that the top 3 will be gone either through graduation or the portal.  Brian F gave a no confidence vote in his statement regarding  Labas, why should he stay? 3. No wide receivers.  The ones we have on the field can not get open, can not get separation, and do not present a deep threat. ( No speed ).
Iowa needs to pursue the portal to address these needs. Iowa needs to address the OC position. Also they need to examine the recruiting issues they have had for the last 3-4 years on why the players recruited have not panned out.

If Iowa doesn’t fit the transfer porthole for a QB, 2-3 OL and 2 deep threat WRs. Next season will be the same if not worse..

 WowThat was a rough article but true to point. I will not even blame the FZs anymore. It falls on Barta. I did not know about Brian reporting to Barta just to skirt the no-nepotism rule. That is the first failure of leadership. We gave accepted mediocrity for so long and now we are not going to even get that. Pointing to past success instead of addressing the current problems is a recipe for disaster. I hope we recover from this soon.
