I do remember.  I think we talked about this at the Virginia game. 

It is a life challenge and difficult to explain to someone who has not experienced it for them selves.  I remember infantry training as being more fun than boot camp. The MC made me a better man, perhaps Oak Hill would have made me a better basketball player.  It does sound like Oak Hill may teach how much work it takes to achieve your goals.

I too went through 10 weeks of Marine Corps boot camp and 4 weeks of infantry training after that.  It wasn’t as much fun as playing hoops for 12 hours a day.      Our “fun” began every day at 0445 hours.

You’re right, Marine Corps boot camp was a very unique experience, and difficult to comprehend and explain.  It was one of my major life challenges, but thank goodness I was never sent to a war zone, like about 75% of my platoon was during the late 60s. My college degree kept me stateside.

Remember all the squat thrusts and mountain climbers?

Dennis, I've been to Marine Corps boot camp.  Its not the same thing.  MCRD is hard to explain, but lets just leave it at, it not near the same thing.
