During that 24-2 run in the 2nd half, they lost it. And despite getting some good looks on offense, particularly in the first half, they missed way too many of them —bunnies, 5 footers, 10 footers, and 20+ footers. I like this team but this game clearly shows the gap between the really good teams and the teams like Iowa. MSU would win 9 or 10 out of 10 games if they kept playing and most of those would be be 10 or more points. The better teams expose the Iowa weaknesses.
Iowa is playing better defense than last year but against the good teams you see that it is sub par. Iowa is not a very good rebounding team and MSU exposed that. Wieskamp is a good player and will be very good but he is not yet ready for teams like MSU.
And Bohannon is easily shut down by a team like MSU. He has to take 25 footers to get his shot and even then he is rushing it.</div>
