I have not heard of anyone (among the experts and us amateurs) that thinks he is ready. So a big part of this is what the experts say to him. Do they tell him that going back to school is the best option or do they encourage him to head to Europe or the Development
league. How many Americans that go to Europe actually end up in the NBA? Does he get the playing time in the D league or he is now one among many very similar to him in athletic ability and skill. At least at Iowa he is the big fish in a small pond.

I do think that going through the evaluation will be very helpful for Cook's development. He is going to be very motivated to work very hard at improving his weaknesses and rounding out his game. The scouts are going to want to see someone play defense and
he is going to have to really put out the effort on that end.<br>
