<DIV>I watched the Rutgers-Purdue game last night, and was very impressed by the
guards on both teams. I saw a lot of toughness, grit, playground swagger,
no fear, and having fun. I think Fran needs to get more guys like that.
Bohannon and Moss have those qualities to some extent, but it seems the four
primary guards for Rutgers and Purdue just take it to a higher level of play
with extra effort.</DIV>

few things I have read or heard. (1) Jordan Bohannon was probably hurt
much more than we knew. I expect that his foot issues severely limited his
lateral movement, which would impact his defense more than offense. On offense
we also did not see many of the moves he used last year that required quick
change of direction to get open for his three point shot. If he can get
healthy I think his offense and defense improve. (2) Fran apparently told
the players that there will be significant changes to the strength and
development program this off season. (3) Rumors abound about Tyler Cook
and whether he will be back. The biggest rumor was that he would go to Missouri.
He put that rumor to rest on Twitter. My guess is he gets the NBA evaluation and
is told he is not ready and returns. </DIV>

took Michigan into OT and had several possessions to tie but couldn't do
it. Lots of fouls and both teams had numerous defensive lapses.
Kriner looks herky/jerky but is productive. It will be interesting to see
if one or more players transfer and if Iowa can find a grad eligible point guard
to come. The empty seats in MSG is not a good look for the Big

women - It seemed that Megan had foul trouble and had a subpar game. After
the huge first quarter - 28-1 I think, it got within 4 or 5 in the 4th quarter
