<DIV>Has anyone noticed how Baer tends to reach a lot with his hands as a guy is
driving on him, seemingly trying to tip the ball away? This is
counter-productive, because he should be concentrating on his footwork to get in
position to stay in front of the guy. He is losing his man on the dribble
in many cases.</DIV>

Defense<BR><BR><BR><BR>In this image, the Hawks are in a man-to-man defense.
Cook is 12 feet off his man and Baer is trailing his man my 6 feet on a break
to the hoop. It didn’t end well as Cook’s man drilled a 3-pointer. Poor
spacing, getting easily beat off drives to the paint, poor recognition. Cook
isn’t even looking at his man to see how the play is developing.<BR>Dennis
