<p>Kirk is a very good coach and we will be hard pressed to get a better one if get rid of him. But more important is the type of person he is. This really hit me when I was down in WI for that game. Through my nephew I talked with some guys who have contact
with present and past coaches. Bielema and Ryan had better success but I would not ever want them to be coaches at Iowa. Character still counts for me.<br>

they will be slightly worse. Do you think that we can get a coach will consistently win 9 games a year? Kirk and Hayden are two Hall of Fame coaches and they could not. If we fire Kirk who do we get that will do better? Maybe we get a Matt Campbell but maybe
we get a Todd Lickliter. And I don't think a Matt Campbell does any better than Kirk or Hayden. He just gives us a change.</span></p>
