The exception is Dale Jones, who was probably told his scholarship would not be renewed after he graduated, to make room for both Garza and Nunge. Christian Williams departing seemed to be a surprise to the coaching staff because of the timing, so he was not asked to leave. It probably became clear to Christian in fall practice that the playing time at wing he had hoped for was unlikely because of the play of other wings and he would be limited to a few minutes a game behind Bohannon. Connor seemed to be outplaying him at guard, so Christian's senior year would be even worse, with Conner and two new guards competing for the minutes. Is there any thought that the players are asked to leave because they will not be playing?
