What we have learned for sure is that we have no depth. I think Jon Miller said it well. My feeling is this was going to be a bit of a transition year. D line was supposed to be very good, over all D pretty good. O line was the big mystery. NDSU did the Hawks a disservice by exposing how bad our O line is. They will get better by the end of the year but will Bethard survive it? He, more often than not, stands in one place in the pocket and is taking some huge hits, even if he gets the pass off. Everything I have read is that the knee was 100% and the brace was just a precaution.
