<div dir="ltr">Uthoff was not a factor the whole game due to good defense by Maryland. Gesell is very good when he is running the offense , getting assists and playing defense. He is not very good at taking the ball to the hoop against good teams and shooting FT's (especially at the end of the game). Unfortunately it was the latter that he did this game (and the open drives at the end when we needed a 3 do not count). He missed the front end of a 1-1 when they were down by two 64-62.<div><br></div><div>Not sure if it was due to Maryland defense or the crowd getting to them but Iowa made a lot of really dumb passes and bad shots. I don't think I have ever watched so many air balls and other shots that had no chance by one team.
