It is really surprising to see the issue of the offense being primarily linked to recruits from 3-4 years ago.
I can understand the O-Line having issues following some sudden events.  This was coming and most of us discussed this.
We did not have a good O-Line last year either but got saved by the brilliance of one man, Tyler Linderbaum.

The O-Line genius/guru had enough time to correct it or at least improve the situation.
That did not happen.  If Barnett is not good enough, then KFz could have taken a more active role there (I do not know if he did or did not).

During the last few minutes of the MI game when we went into rush mode we did well.
Even during the IL game SP did well when he let the ball go quickly without having to wait for the play to develop.
It is clear to all that the line cannot hold the line for more than 3 seconds.
Then why design plays that take longer than 3 seconds?
The coaches are not good enough to change the offensive play list to fit the skillset?

When it is evident that we cannot get decent rushing yards up the middle why do we keep trying it sooo many times.
We had a bit more success running outside or when SP threw on the move but then we immediately go back to run of the mill Iowa playbook.
Not even giving the back and more mobile QB a look in is outrageous.  If he was good enough to start a few games last year then he should be good enough for a few plays every game.

Anyway you look at it, it is the fault of the coaches, be it recruiting, coaching, development, play books etc.

I never played the game, so, what do I know?
