Just got home from attending impressive Hawkeye win over the Boilers. Rough early start with Charlie Jones getting a 40 yard one so completion but he really wasn’t a factor despite 11 catches & 100 yards. Defense was usually lights out & Petras is starting to win me over (offensive line play improvement is probably a major factor.).
Grandson Gavin is going to Purdue for computer science next fall so he got to see his first IA-PU game. We tailgated with Gwen & her family under crappy weather. We all agreed that the wind was the strongest we had experienced at a game. If one stood up in the stands it wasn’t unusual to be blown off balance from a gust (50+ mph was recorded). Made tailgating difficult blowing glasses & cans off flat surfaces.
It all ended well with a dominant Iowa win.
Let’s get Bucky next!
Go Hawks!
