 Charlie Jones and Purdue's QB O'Connell were classmates in grade school together. Also, Milton Wright, Purdue's number one receiver, was ruled academically ineligible for the year and currently not on the team. 
You add that with wanting CJ wanting to get more touches and you understand why there is a lot smoke around Purdue.Seeing BF offense in the spring may have been a contributing factor.

It appears Notre Dame may have some interest as well.

Hard to believe it wasn’t NIL related or maybe even some “tampering.”  The other possibility is he’s not happy with the offense and the possibility that incoming players are going to take playing time.
