[Herky] Well That Sucked

The MI defense was very good, but all that dribbling, especially by JB didn’t work.  It looked to me like the same kind of game as the Gonzaga game.  Our guards were smothered and they didn’t pass it around and use the ball for speed.  Garza was just off his game.  Nunge’s loss didn’t help, but was not the game changer.

I think Iowa can beat these teams but they have to play the game that they are given.

The “stink” comment is a more of a reflection of the difference between our own unrealistic expectations and the reality in regards to our mens basketball. 

Am I biased, because they are our guys, as it does seem to me that JB, CJF and JW are mugged when we are on offense. Literally seems like they are being hugged and wrestled by the opponent’s guards while we seem to defending with a touch you not attitude?

I agree with a lot of the observations, but I don't think we stink. I think we are like the football team - a clear gap between the top 2 in the conference, and we are the leaders of 'the rest'. We are not fast enough on the transition, and I 'think' we force shots a bit much (and Luka wants to do more than he reasonably should). 

Sweet 16 year, IMHO.

Too much of dribbling and less of passing by our guards. 

Luka’s foot speed and his lack of vertical mobility are a liability against good big men. That should hurt his NBA chances. Love his heart and hard work.  Missed a ton of points on the rim. 

When the paint area was not working out we could not pass well enough to shoot the threes.
