I agree with you Keith. Michigan State Football and Basketball players are all getting $500 a month from a mortgage company owned by an alumnus just to mention them on social media, without a tracking system. The Alabama quarterback is getting nearly $1M a year. Wealthy alumni will make it hard for schools like Iowa to compete. It is going to be a bidding war and there are many billionaires out there.

I heard something about all scholarship lineman at (I think) Texas will receive a lot of money automatically for their participation for some PR thing. This will happen over and over again as companies throw out previous illegal amounts to the players. So if you are recruited to be on scholarship at Texas and you are an OL, why worry about anything else or any other school? Now consider the big city, big alumni schools and the rich will get richer. Other schools will have to fall in line and there will be a bidding war. Not academics, not necessarily coaching or style of program. Just money. 



Not the college atmosphere I enjoy.
