[Herky] Final Iowa 97 North Carolina Central 67

First game of the season so cannot say/read much into the result.
Final score is as expected.

NCC was smaller and faster.
They were without practice for a long time but did not look like it in the first 10 minutes.

Our one-on-one defense was a step slow and the guards got beat to the basket many times.
More than any other aspect of the game, this is one thing we need to fix.
Can it be fixed during the season?
Patrick was good to watch along with the Murrays.

This team will be carried by Luka all over again.

Garza had 26 points and 10 boards. Patrick McCaffery looked good and had 16 points. So did Keenan Murray with 12 points and 7 rebounds.
Defense could have been better.
