Oliver Martin is currently the 5th best receiver in the eyes of the coaches and I agree with them.  He needs to step up his game to get more playing time (especially in practices during the week).  The first time he was in the game on Saturday, he was the culprit causing an Illegal Procedure penalty. He was pulled immediately.

Isn't majority of secondary in injury cloud?  How many are still out?

Maybe, everyone will be back from injury and we are close to peak form.  Fingers crossed.

After all the initial excitement about Oliver Martin, why has he not been in much discussion or in plays?

I am very impressed with the offense. Nate Stanley will go down as one of the greatest Iowa QBs ever 

We have a stable of running backs that I can't believe 

We have WRs that are better than I have seen in years 

I am very worried about defense actually every phase, but particularly the secondary

However, I do not get the feeling that we are anywhere close to a top-10 team.

Our 3rd year senior QB has been interception free but he still does not make those big plays under duress as frequently as is expected of him.  Him missing on long throws still rankles me.

Our WRs dropping not so easy balls frequently bothers me.

Our collective defense has been good.

AJE being double and triple teamed should have allowed others to really shine but it has not happened to the extent I expected against three overmatched opponents.

Next couple of games when AJE is probably defended one-on-one is when we will find out how good we are.

NOTE:  It is sad that after we lost a couple of our long term members, we have stopped having conversations, criticisms, critiques and chats about Hawkeyes in this forum.  It is boring not to have those discussions here 🙁
