Yup, MI game will tell us where we are and where we will go.

OSU and PSU looked very, very scary  even against good competition and as of now looks like we may not have a chance against them.  We have to play close to our best to beat Michigan which has its own problems.  If we manage to beat MI at the big house my guess is we should run PSU close at home and get lucky this time. 🙂

Saw Wisconsin in a couple of games.  They are extremely good defensively, very good in rushing game.  But, NW gave them a scare and ran them close despite the score line.  Did not like Pat F going for two the first time, failing, then forced to go again, failing and being two scores down with 3+ minutes to go.  Or we may have had a surprise or a much closer game there.
11-1 is fantastic, 10-2 is optimistic and 9-3 is realistic for me right now.

My prediction is for fantastic for the simple fact that the body language of Stanley is different the last couple of games and he has shown more excitement than what he did the last couple of years.  Has the team played close to the chest and set to explode in the next couple of games?  I hope so!!

Sadly, most spend their time on the various online sites now. I really enjoy the articles being posted here everyday but they don't generate much in the way of discussion.

I'm not ready to buy in on this team all the way yet either. I had Michigan pencilled in as a loss . We'll see what happens this week. Then we'll know much more I think

I'm glad we're 4-0 also but trying to keep things in perspective.

However, I do not get the feeling that we are anywhere close to a top-10 team.
Our 3rd year senior QB has been interception free but he still does not make those big plays under duress as frequently as is expected of him.  Him missing on long throws still rankles me.
Our WRs dropping not so easy balls frequently bothers me.
Our collective defense has been good.
AJE being double and triple teamed should have allowed others to really shine but it has not happened to the extent I expected against three overmatched opponents.
Next couple of games when AJE is probably defended one-on-one is when we will find out how good we are.

NOTE:  It is sad that after we lost a couple of our long term members, we have stopped having conversations, criticisms, critiques and chats about Hawkeyes in this forum.  It is boring not to have those discussions here 🙁
