I would support that. We got to Ames at 8:30 and all public lots were full. We parked in some nice ISU backyard (who served us coffee) but it was WAY too much tailgating.

ISU fans near the Iowa band were apparently yelling obscenities and throwing things at them. Some of the ISU fans were arrested.Sounds like excessive partying before the game may have led to incidents. Pat Harty suggested future games should start no later than noon. Game Day came on at 8:00 a.m. and the game did not start until 3:00 p.m. leaving a lot of time for alcohol to flow. The weather delays during the game and lack of other distraction may have encouraged bad behavior as well.
