I think Moss may be a slightly better NBA prospect than Cook is right now. But Moss doesn’t seem very strong on the dribble and plays timid quite a lot. As he does gain strength and NBA-style aggressiveness, he could be pretty good reserve two man in the pros.
Cook seems somewhat under-sized to play the #4, but would never be the three man in the NBA He’s somewhat of a tweener for pro ball. He probably hit about 15% of his shots attempted from more than 10 feet over his career. And there are quite a few #4s in the NBA much stronger (and bigger than) Tyler.
Nice to have the depth. Garza, Kriener will be stronger and better. Pemsl may be slowed by the long recovery a little, but I like his game. Nunge, by all reports, has made great strides in his game. Patrick McC needs to get into a weight program and gain about 20-25 pounds and get built up like his brother. C.J. Frederick should be an adequate replacement for Moss, but he’ll be raw and learning the college game as a RS freshman. Getting an experienced guy like Utomi would make a lot of sense, especially if Cook and/or Moss never don a Hawkeyes uniform again.

I disagree with this. Spreading the available minutes around, without affecting chemistry, will be difficult enough without adding a transfer.
