[Herky] Cook

Work ethic or not, I don't think Cook will ever have a reliable jump shot. If a player does not have one by now, he is unlikely to develop one. His defense has improved but he still has too many turnovers. I don't see him being drafted even in the second round, but I agree he will go.

Comments from an NBA draft expert: According to Synergy Sports' Player ratings, Cook's jump shot numbers are in the 3rd-percentile nationally.

He's attempted 25 jump shots on the season, and has only hit five of them which is 20 percent. Cook is 3-of-8 on jump shots from 17-feet in, and 2-of-13 on jumpers from 17-feet to the 3-point line, and 0-of-4 from beyond the arc.

Cook's impact posting-up is regarded as 'excellent' (85th percentile), but being a 6-foot-8 big man who seems to only have success with their back to the basket is a real concern for NBA teams.

On the bright side, Cook does other things well on the floor that'll translate well to the Association, and there's a reason to believe with his work ethic that he can develop a reliable jump shot.

He needs to play next year to develop that jump shot, but I assume he will enter the draft to go about #40.
