Not lucky enough to watch the game live as I could not get watchespn to work
here in India.

I guess I need to teach myself how to get a VPN.

Followed the playbyplay on espn and followed the stats.

Except for 4 big run plays at the very end our defense gave up nothing and
the opponent was less than 90 yards total for most of the game.  An
absolutely dominating performance by the team.

We now had two big offensive games followed by a defensive game.

Hope we can have both of them clicking next week.

Glad I stayed up late to follow the game.

Good game by the Hawks. Was anyone a little irritated by the camera work
today.  I understand that you are going to show the sidelines or other
things in between plays but it seemed like they stayed on those views way
too long and tried to time it so that it just got back to the play just
before it was snapped often too late and then sometimes with a bad angle as
it is snapped.

I had the same thought about the 2 point conversion.  The defense was so
dominating that I guess the coaches thought they didn't need t assume the
risk.

This was a nice victory.  It may not look that impressive to the nation, but
this kind of domination over a pretty good team was a strong demonstration
of how good this team is to me.

We'll see just how good we are next week.

Was Iowa conservative by not going for two before the half?

Now it is 16-0 and a two possession game or we would have been 3 possessions
ahead.

I guess it was too early in the game especially when the defense shut down
the Maryland running game.

I agree with the domination.  Wish we could have scored more to take the
Terps out of it

However, the defense is so good that I feel confident we can hold.

Another field goal is good, but we all want TD's to remove any doubt as to
outcome.  There is still a lot of ball to play.

This team is really good.  That pass to Smith for the TD was a great pass
with a great reception

What a dominate first half. I am really glad they got that TD as a 9-0 lead
after that half would not have been good.  We have done an excellent job on
defense. Guys are playing their gaps and making the tackle.  This looks like
the old Iowa offense with the wind taking away much of the passing game.
Still 205 total yards for Iowa to 46 for Maryland.  Defense certainly should
not be tired after that first half.
