[Herky] Indiana Reflections

I was equally impressed with the game plan.  Previous years, it has seemed
like we tried to establish the run early and that opened up the playbook
for play action.  However, early in Saturday's game, we started airing it
out to the sideline for our receivers and TEs.  I'm not sure if that was
due to something they saw on film with the cornerbacks or Kirk 3.0 or
both.  Iowa had a few receptions early and other times, the Indiana CB had
to hold the receiver in order for them not to catch something wide open.
It goes without saying, but our TEs are unbelievable!  They are too fast
for linebackers and too tall for corners.  What is great is that teams
cannot double team one without the other getting open.  And, when they are
both double covered, the WR seem to find a way to get open.

I haven't seen a DL as dominant as this year, and there is so much depth!
I saw KFz presser from last night where we could get back our two LB for
Maryland, which will help against the Maryland running attack.  I'm
confident that our DL will stop their run and our LBs can clean up.

Fant's PI was a bunch of Barbara Streisand (as Gwen McNatt would say).  The
Indiana linebacker held Fant off the line and then seemed to flop when Fant
went by him.  I saw KFz's reaction, and he thought the same.

This team could do something really special.  I think they have the key
positions to do something really good this year.  It almost feels like 2004
where we lost to Michigan at the first BT game and then started to get
rolling as the season went on.  I saw an ESPN bowl prediction that had us
in the Citrus Bowl vs Florida.  Maybe an unknown senior could catch the
game winner just like that 2004 season!
