Really good first round for Iowa. Gunther was the only loss. Eight other advance.  Turk and  Bowman with wins over higher ranked guys.  Three falls. One tech fall. Three major decisions.

Spencer Lee is wrestling without his bulky knee brace. Iowa is apparently wearing a new singlet from Nike. I did not notice this so must not be a big difference.

Sam Stoll gets his first win in the NCAA's after two season with knee injuries.

I did not catch all the scores of other matches but PSU loses two including Nick Lee at 141.  Ohio St had some close matches but they advance all 10.  The biggest flop so far is Missouri who lost 5 of 9 matches including a 5 seed and a 2 seed.

Watchespn has all eight mats streaming. ESPNU is showing one match at a time. I did not check it out but sounds like they are showing the highest seeds so it was mostly OSU and PSU matches - none of the Iowa.

Next session is at 7:00 est with watchespn and ESPNU like this afternoon.
