Yes, both of them would have been stars, but I am honestly happy for them as this is a good financial move. After what happened to Desmond King, I think Josh may have been incredibly smart as he had a once in a lifetime year and should capitalize on it. I will be watching to see if either get their bachelors…..that is always impressive to me when they come back and finish the degree……

Curtis, upon further review, I think you are correct. The times were probably 4.49 and 4.60, or something like that. I didn’t record anything formally. I do remember that the second time was relatively quite a bit slower than the first.
Selfishly, I wish he and Daniels were coming back.

Are you sure about those 40 yard dash times? I heard he was running in the 4.49 range. Roger Goodell (NFL Commissioner) ran a 5.41 yesterday in a suit in his office! :-)

Due the free agent losses, teams are awarded compensatory picks - that’s why there are extras in some rounds.
Go Hawks!

I watched a lot of the NFL combine Monday for CB’s and DB’s, especially Josh Jackson. He ran 40’s of something like 4.99 and 5.26, which wasn’t bad relative to the other 70-something participants. He was criticized by the announcers as having tight hips (I think that is a criticism) and seemed to have trouble back-peddling and turning around, then back again. A couple of times they made him start over. But he was praised for his great hands and football instincts. Generally, he was shown a lot of respect by the announcers.
According to Bleacher Report, Josh is going #10 to Oakland in their mock draft. James Daniels is also a first-rounder, going at #22. Josey Jewell drops to the last pick of the 3rd round at #100. Three rounds of 32 = 96, so go figure how they found 100 picks.
