[Herky] Disappointing loss

I was disappointed at all of the drives to the bucket that Wisky got.  Either in man-to-man or zone there didn't seem to be hardly any help defense once a driver got past the Hawkeye in front of him.  We got a couple of charge calls but usually the driver was unchallenged as he went to the rack.
As several have mentioned guards didn't shoot well enough for Iowa to win.
It looked like an early season game with a number of missed assignments on both offense and defense.  Hope they win against Sparty but it'll be a tough road win..
Go Hawks!!!

Agree on all counts. Moss and Bohannon need to have good games — in the same game. Have been waiting all year to see that.Dennis

On a positive note - from a TV perspective that was the best crowd I have seen/heard at Carver Hawkeye in a long time.   Everyone seems to be excited about the team.
Starting 0-2 in the conference would really hurt when this game was there for the taking.  Iowa died by the 3 in this game. No one was shooting well but they kept putting them up rather than get the ball inside.  Cook and Garza were very effective and they went away from that at the end of the game.  Happ picks up his 4th foul and for 4 or 5 possessions they never throw the ball inside to Cook who Happ is guarding.  You either get Happ out of the game earlier or you probably get some easier baskets as he tries to avoid the 5th foul.  Instead Iowa misses from deep.
Moss had 12 minutes and Dailey 9. Neither played well which is probably why they got so few minutes.  Conner is playing better than both of them which is why your are going to see a lot more of Bohannon at the two like we did last night.
Tyler Cook had a really good game but he needs to stop shooting from further out than 5 feet from the basket.  Drive to the basket from outside if it is there or pass and get to the block but shots from outside are wasted possessions right now.  The one thing that I noticed in the last couple of games that I never noticed before is the pause in his shooting motion when at the FT line. I can't imagine that is a formula for being a good shooter. And then I would think you would be even more inconsistent when your regular shooting motion is different than you FT shooting motion. That is exactly what we are seeing.

Subject: [Herky] Disappointing loss They played hard and played a clean game, but couldn’t hold an 8 point lead on their home court with a dozen minutes left. JBo had a poor shooting game and ZERO assists. Give credit to the Badgers.

What’s with Moss? Seems like Dailey got as many minutes as Moss.
