At the start of the season, you didn’t have to be an Einstein to know that it would take some time to develop a passing game against top defenses.  This team is making progress.

 

It’s disappointing that the O-line, maybe because of the changes and a top lineman going down, could not make enough impact for even a few positive yards when the defense was stacked against them yesterday.

 

But I believe as the passing game improves, this team improves.  The way the defense played yesterday while being on the field so much of the time was really impressive.

 

It’s hard to predict W-L when injuries play such an important part on teams like Iowa that aren’t that deep with 4 and 5 stars like the elite programs.

It was a great game at the end but of each half but not so much in between.  You take a score when you can but was really hoping Iowa would have been able to use more clock at the end before they scored.  With a tired defense and a very good PSU offense I did not like the chances that we would be able to stop them with that much time. Almost.

 

At this point Iowa has an average team. They got totally dominated and if they played 5 more times I think PSU would win by 14  points or more each time.  The defense played hard all game but does not have the athletes to match up with PSU.  I thought that this a very poorly called game by Brian Ferentz.  Crowd was great.

Not that I can remember.  

What a great B1G game.  I'm exhausted.  For some reason,  I just cannot
gripe about the Hawks.  I would have liked a little more offensive line
play, but the defense compensated.  At the end,  think our D guys were just
worn out.

Iowa has a ver good team.
