Listening to Connor on that video interview, he has a lot of confidence in his abilities as a PG.  He’ll be the #2 PG this season, no question in my mind.  Ellingson and Moss are built for #2s.  It wouldn’t make sense to try to groom either one of them for a back-up PG after the season begins.

Brady Ellingson played some point last year and is the only other somewhat viable option, but he is really a shooting guard. Bohannon did not play good defense either, in spite of studying Aaron Craft film all summer. Conner did not shoot well, but as Eran pointed out in the post game show, neither did Moss or Baer. Fran has confidence that all 3 will be good 3 point shooters. Moss had an ankle injury that limited his minutes but Fran said it was not serious. I was concerned when Bohannon suffered an apparent ankle injury, but he played on.

It sure looks to me like McCaffery is going to play BB this year and not baseball.   Conner and Jordan were the only two who played PG. The question is not whether Conner can play PG. The question is whether someone else can. If I did not think Conner was an option I would have been checking out the other options at PG. I have no doubt that Conner can run the offense but he definitely looks like a true FR on defense.
