[Herky] Iowa BB

The problem is the that they guys who are not playing defense are no longer freshman but sophomores. I expect Garza and Nunge to have some struggles. Nunge does pretty well for a 7 footer covering guys out on the perimeter. Dailey was the only guy who looked like he could keep a guy in front of him. Fran was forced to play zone the second half and they still got penetration and easy lay-ups or open threes. The length of Iowa inside did not seem to bother them at all.

this is what happened last year, the first few games the freshmen played good offense but NO defense. Same thing this year. Fran will have to light a fire under them of it will be a looooong season

We were wondering if we were hyping Iowa BB too much. They are finally playing a better team and trail 37-17 at half. The score is pretty representative of Iowa's play so far. Louisiana is an athletic team and Iowa cannot defend them. They are also having a very hard time getting into their offense with the tough man to man that Louisiana is playing.
Bohannon, Cook and Moss are 3-17. Garza has yet to take shot.
Iowa has 10 turnovers which is very high but Louisiana has 8 so that is the reason for the 20 point deficit.
