He has a couple of good recruiting classes , what with the Ball brothers, but if he doesn't at least get to the elite 8 this year UCLA will not be happy with him and he could rabbit again as he did from N. Mexico and Iowa.

 

I would like to see Iowa beat his butt every year so I would enjoy him at Indiana. 

 

If he is bounced in the 1st or 2nd round then bball alum will start making noise.

Local talk show here in Indy (Dakich, etc.) are beating the Alford drum.  I doubt if many Hoosier fans would hold the Iowa City phase against him.  I think that it would be a largely popular choice locally.

 

Dakich did say that the NCAA powers aren't real happy that Indiana put out the press release just as the opening tip was going up for the tourney.

I think Steve Alford to Indiana is very unlikely. His Iowa record on and off court (Pierre Pierce) soured too many Indianna fans on him.
