You know, I have always been a fan of a real biggie in the middle to plug things up and to even fetch a rebound now and then.

But the Rutgers giant did not advance my opinion in any sense. I will give him a pat on the back for really trying and working hard to get that big frame up and down the court.

I didn’t hear—is he an underclassman?

I was flipping back and forth between the Purdue-Wisky and Iowa-Rutgers games. Afraid that the Hawkeyes have very little to slow down Purdue's 2 big guys. If Iowa can avoid another slow start they might be able to hang with the Boilers but Purdue is a very good, very physical team. Probably the best team in the league.

This year's team is entertaining to watch and the future potential is encouraging.

Go Hawks!

It appeared to me that during the middle one-third or so of the game, Iowa as a team appeared to have tired legs—defensive gaffs, TO’s, short shots, etc.

But maybe there is something to the second wind theory, because they really finished strong, thankfully.

Now rest and get ready for a strong Purdue team.

Watching the 2 nd half, it just seemed as though the Hawks could turn it on when they wanted to. For most of the first half, they didn’t. 2 nd half started bad but business picked up after a bit.

Good win after a difficult road loss.

Hawks with a huge run at the end to win by 6. Iowa turned up the intensity in the last 10 minutes.

Uhl finally broke out of his slump and had a great game. Baer also had his normal hustle game.

Go Hawks!

Hawks down 3 with about 7+ min left. Rutgers shooting has gone cold.

Iowa not looking good. They are down by 7 with 11:11 left in the game. 14 TOs. I was going to be a lot more negative but Keith has got me to temper my comments. I think the 2OT game took it out of both Neb and Iowa. Neb loses at home to NW and now Iowa is struggling. This is a really bad game to have after that game as Iowa cannot afford to lose to Rutgers at home.
