[Herky] Iowa - Neb

I agree Jeff. As has been voiced many times previously, sure seems like Iowa
might benefit from calling a time out during key possessions with little
time left- especially given the young age of our team.

Tough loss in 2OT - a really fun game to watch. Only negative in that aspect
was that the two guys who put on the biggest show Jok and Watson who both
finished with 34 fouled out and were not there at the end.   Neb is a better
defensive team. Iowa made a lot of FR type mistakes.  The kept driving into
double teams and losing the ball.  19 TOs.  If Neb could have shot halfway
decent at the FT line this is not that close of a game.

Iowa down by two at the half. Moss with a huge first half with 15 that kept
them in the game. Not one else with more than 4.   Neb playing very
disruptive defense and able to penetrate on offense on offense at will for
the lay-up or kick for 3. Watson has 15 for Neb.  Iowa defense, while much
better than early in the season, still leaves a lot to be desired.  Bohannon
is really struggling against a much quicker PG.

 

Cook got two quick fouls and sat most of the half. That hurt as Wagner just
has no offense. He really struggles finishing what should easy shots around
the rim.

 

And for a quick football update. Wadley will return for his senior year.
