I actually thought he was very critical of his alma mater but that doesn't mean that I like him any more!

A lot of pundits had IU around the bubble prior to this game. Their record isn't the best but They beat two potential 1 seeds earlier in the season and have a good RPI.

As for the Hawkeyes, they need to find a way to keep the intensity for the entire game. They seemed to have low energy at the start and it showed. However, that seemed to change when Fran subbed out the first team. Maybe Baer needs to play the entire game!

Two tough road games ahead and then PSU. Hopefully the Hawkeyes can stay in the middle of the standings.

They were 5-9 in the B1G, a conference that can't even put a team in the top 16. Sure, they beat a couple of strong teams earlier, but Dakich kept mentioning that they can win games on the road with (I think), Maryland and Purdue to send them dancing. He might as well have predicted that they will win the Big Ten Tourney and go to the Dance. At the same time he wrote off Iowa for even the NIT. Give that guy an Indiana mike and keep him off the BTN!!!
