All five of the Iowa guys won both their semi and finals match.   Spencer Lee lost his semi-final match and then medical forfeited. Not sure if there was an injury or just no reason to wrestle further once he lost.


Iowa ran away with the team title. Titles for Sorensen, Kemerer, Wilcke, Marinelli and Stoll.   Of the three FR Murin did the best. Warner had a few good wins but it seemed like he ran out of gas as the tourney went on.

Iowa was considered the underdog going into this tourney but so far they have been doing very well.   Semi's start at 12 cst and finals at 7 cst and  are on BTN plus.


Iowa has five in the semi's and is probably the favorite in all the matches. The only one where they might not be in at 197 where Warner (Iowa FR) is wrestling unattached and goes against Wilcke.  Obviously like to see Warner do well but that might impact the team race with a win by him.


Assuming they both win their semi final matches the 125 final between Suriano and Lee is probably one of the most anticipated matches of the season, especially if Lee redshirts.   Bresser, his semi opponent, lost to Daton Fix 2-1 so the semi will also be a good indication of where he is right now. My big concern is that he had knee surgery 9 months ago so hoping that we don't see a repeat of what happened to Stoll last year with a re-injury.
