[Herky] Issues Iowa needs to correct

Agree.  What has happened to the innovation and surprise that we saw last year?  As this article points out, Iowa appears to be sinking in the quicksand of conservative predictability.  I was thinking that we now have personnel that can be a little more athletic and innovative.

Subject: [Herky] CJB

I don't know if what this writer says is confirmed but CJB has shown pretty much zero mobility. He, more often than not,  stands in one place in the pocket and is taking some huge hits, even if he gets the pass off. Everything I have read is that the knee was 100% and the brace was just a precaution. I am beginning to wonder if that is the case.  

 

Put together these three factors and you have some big issues (1) QB with no mobility (especially when his biggest strength was his ability to create when scrambling) (2) WRs that have real problem creating separation on their own.  (3) An OL is below average in providing protection.  

 

Expect to see more of what we saw from NDSU.  Extra guy to stop the run. Create 3rd and long and then lots of blitzes.
