[Herky] N. Dakota State hanging around

King seemed tentative at times, particularly when closing on a runner. Is he nursing an injury? He also dodged a turnover when he let the punt go through his arms & NDSU fumbled it out of bounds. But he ran kicks back with no hesitation.

I agree with everyone that both lines stunk. Doesn't inspire much confidence going forward.
Do I remember correctly that in past we played many more defensive linemen to keep them fresh?

Is that the worst running offense stats in years? It would look better if Daniels 62 yd run hadn't been wiped out but so would have the game played out differently.

Only Iowa & Illinois didn't win from Big Ten yesterday? Not good company!

Still......Go Hawks!

> It’s easy to second guess. I don’t have the playbook and I don’t know the circumstances. CJ may have been hurting at the end. I thought, when we received the last kickoff with about 3 ½ minutes to go, that we couldn’t run the clock out by running the ball. It just wasn’t there. I would not have been surprised if we would have tried some short, safe play action passes to gain a few yards each time. So what if we go out of bounds and the clock stops if we could pick up a first down or two? We had not been gaining on runs throughout the 2nd half, so what was to change? And the Bison blitz on third down was expected by anyone with any sense of game strategy. That last series to me was the most disappointing part of the game.

> Iowa was not pathetic or terrible or anything like that IMO. Iowa played a very good team and came up short. It shouldn’t have been that way, but this game was never going to be a blowout. If Iowa was terrible, we would have been the team being blown out.
