we have not been good at running (out) the clock since our present O corordinator arrived. If King had turned pro, how would our pass defense be?

Not doing a very good job of running out the clock. Back-up corners not looking very good. Bowers can't tackle in open space and can't cover receivers either.

They came back a little bit after my rah rah post. I hope that they finish strong in the 4th, but I am afraid they are just running out the clock.

Very little pass rush . Purdue has had a lot of time to throw all day. Bower is a terrible open field tacker.

King may have been covering for a coverage mistake.

His returns have been great. But I agree—ne needs some int’s.

Desmond King's hope to repeat as the Thorpe just took a hit. He does not have the needed interceptions but has been so good in not giving anything beyond about 7 yards that he had a chance. He gets beat deep and it is the big play in Purdue driving for a TD. He also committed a really dumb late hit penalty earlier in the game.

Most everyone I heard was predicting Iowa to win by 7 - 14 points. Purdue is a very bad team but a good team should make them look bad and Iowa is doing that so far. Croston is out with an ankle injury. Render in his place.

Bad news is that Kittle left with an injury. It did not look extremely serious but he is one guy we cannot afford to lose (at least against the better teams)

This chop block thing is becoming boring. It seems we have one or more every game.

But the Hawks look really good so far.
