[Herky] Iowa Ped State

I was most disappointed with the defense.  They often looked confused by the offensive schemes.  They were way out of position.  They got faked in and out, they missed tackles, they were running in cement.  They were pummeled by power runners.  Looked tired, worn out, heads down, listless.  Disgraceful and embarrassing performance.

I can't saw I disagree with his grades.  I think we all knew that last year was not going to happen again but I thought they would be competitive with the really good teams.  Kirk said they need to look at everything. I hope he is serious. Davis needs to go. I am not convinced he is a good OC but even if he is a good OC his scheme is not a good fit for Iowa. 

I also wonder if they need to to sit CJB. With his knee injury he has no mobility and is a sitting duck in the pocket with an OL that cannot provide adequate protection. At least give Stanley a couple of series in each half and see if more mobile QB can buy some time for a receiver to get open.  This is not a knock on CJB.  He is doing everything he can but is limited physically and I wonder if Stanley as 100% is better than CJB in his current condition.

Michigan opens as a 18 point favorite and it quickly goes to 20. I can't imagine any Iowa fan would take Iowa and the points right now.

I think the Hawkeyes have lost a lot of confidence.  They just don’t have the fire.   The coaching staff has lost them.

For having two weeks to prepare, the OC & DC plans were embarrassingly poor.

Iowa may not win another game the this year.  The Illinois game will be a toss up

Not sure why Iowa has their first string defense in there with 6 minutes left and losing 41-14 but it can't be a confidence builder when they can't stop the second team PSU offense.
