Based on the little I have seen so far I do think he will be a much better president as far as supporting athletics.

Travesty!  This already has seriously damaged the academic reputation of a distinguished university.
Proud that a J-School prof, MacLeod, from my old stomping grounds, gave us a candid reportage of total disgust!

I thought I read UNI and ISU joined in on the No Confidence vote.  Some reports have him as a big buddy to Gov Bransted & several of the regents.

I forgot to mention that the new president was an adjunct instructor at Northwestern and Harvard….whatever experience that includes. I listened to an hour podcast by the Cedar Rapids Gazette the Friday before the first Iowa football game. The new president has about $10 million in homes in Colorado, Cambridge and Jacksonville. The podcast said the NCAA and Big 10 will run over him.
