I agree on Baer. None of the true freshmen looked particularly good to me, but we are only two weeks into regular season practice. As Fran McCaffery pointed out in the postgame radio interview, he has never been involved in an exhibition game which took place as early as October before, so mistakes are to be expected. Brandon Hutton got in only at the very tail end of the game, so he may be the leading candidate to redshirt. Christian Williams showed athleticism, but may find playing time limited behind two senior point guards. Still, even a little playing time will prove important for the 2016-17 season. Wagner was the first true freshman in and showed strength and athleticism, but missed several close in shots. There is still a lot of practice time ahead to make improvements and change players' relative status.

Gesell and Jok looked pretty solid. Woody still missing bunnies. Top sub was probably Baer. Among the FR WIlliams looked the best to me.
