Getting a 7 footer is not an easy thing to do. If he had a chance to get one I am sure he would but I remember a final 4 with an Ill team that had 10 players between 6'5" and 6'9". that was a FINAL 4 team so we can survive if the players and scheme are good enough !
 
I have long since quit worrying about recruiting. I assume that the coaching staff knows more about the team than I do . I have never met any of these recruits, why should I have a 'yes' of 'no'

I agree with your Woodbury assessment. And Dom Uhl is to be his backup, which will give us a look at how Fran's future plans will work. His recruiting makes it clear McCaffery is going away from a traditional big man center to smaller, quicker players who can play inside and outside and play multiple positions. I think that will do fine on offense, but I am concerned about Iowa's future ability to defend big bangers inside.

McCaffery is very confident, despite having a bunch of young guys.  I like that.  But I cannot see Woodbury getting 30 to 36 minutes a game, after averaging only 16 to 22 minutes a game his first three years.   He is just too foul prone, and as soon as he gets a pair of fouls in the first half of games, he will be sitting most of the remainder of the half, if not all of it.  I don’t see how he ever gets to 30 minutes a game on average.   When he picks up fouls in a short period, he gets very frustrated, and that affects how he plays on both ends.
