[Herky] Iowa has exceeded my expectations

I had predicted the Hawks to be 3-2 at this point.  I’ll now need to revise my predicted 7-5 finish to 9-3 at WORST.   If Beathard and Canzeri can stay healthy all year, they could definitely be 10-2 heading to a very good Bowl game.

The defense was great, executed their blitzing schemes and zone pass defense.   The Hawks OL did an outstanding job in the rush offense, not so much in defending the pass rush.  But I think Iowa has made a lot of improvement on both sides of the line from the 2014 season and the linebackers are also playing better than the trio that Iowa had last year.   They are aggressive and playing well as a team.
