Yep, no style points but it gets the job done. The defense only really gave up 7 points so Iowa went very conservative. It wasn't great to watch but As has been said many times, a win is a win.
I'd like to see Iowa do the same with Indiana but I don' t know if that will be possible. I feel like Indy's defense is more porous than Maryland but their offense is better.

            Also read something that Maryland DL said they basically ran the same running play to the right and to the left.  So sounds like they got a good lead and pretty much did the bare minimum to maintain the lead and get out with minimal injury.

               This is basically what Kirk Ferentz said in a post game interview. Iowa had the opportunity to take shots downfield, but he did not think it worthwhile, with a good defense and a substantial lead, to take the risks of further injury.

I believe that we had a 21 point lead and Beathard is still not real mobile and so they told him to take the sacks instead of running around and risking that groin injury getting worse.
